Abstract
By the method of synchronization coefficient, using the indicator of slaughtered fattened hogs, this paper makes a calculation on the synchronization of hogs production fluctuation in China and its regions from 1980 to 2008. The results show that: (1) the mean value of synchronization coefficient between regions and the whole nation is 0.8988. And the synchronization coefficient of the central south china is the highest among the six regions, reaches to 1. (2) The synchronization coefficient between every two regions is more than 0.7857. (3) Provinces and the whole nation have a strong synchronization coefficient, and especially the major producing provinces are higher than other provinces. It indicates that the synchronization is strong in China, and this is a good explanation for the characteristic of hogs production fluctuation. Finally, it concludes that we could stabilize the fluctuation with measures of coordinating hogs production and strengthening the monitoring.
