Abstract :
A novel design of small footprint SCR clamps is proposed and validated using mixed-mode numerical analysis. The clamps combine the transient voltage detection driver with either conventional or dual base controlled SCR device. Both low voltage SCR and high voltage NLDMOS-SCR based clamp designs are studied.
