Abstract
This paper is based on the experiments performed to measure the electromagnetic and electrostatic fields of Faraday shielded SST-1 antenna. The experiment is performed to study the effect of Faraday shield on both electromagnetic and electrostatic fields. The experiment was carried out in the presence and absence of Faraday shield. It is observed from the results that the values of both electromagnetic and electrostatic fields change near the feeder point. The values also change as a function of radial distance and polloidal angle. It is observed from the results that radiation pattern varies with and without Faraday shield. It is expected that these results can be useful in testing of the antenna in Antenna Test Facility under pressure and in vacuum.
