Abstract :
A dual-band centre-fed printed dipole antenna consisting of a conventional half-wave dipole loaded with two open-circuited stubs is presented. The stubs form a half-wave dipole at the higher frequency band. The antenna is printed on a PCB and can be fed either by a cable, surface mount connector or a printed transmission line. Two study cases are described: a cellular GSM and a WLAN IEEE802.11 application, respectively.
