Abstract
A complete digital control system to improve the high speed operation of the interior type permanent magnet synchronous motor is presented, This control scheme allows for a smooth transition of the motor into and out of the flux weakening mode, very fast response and adjustment to the current and voltage saturation limits of the motor and inverter. The core of the control system consists of three PI regulators plus three look-up tables, thus enabling the microprocessor implementation with low sampling times. The whole drive system including a space vector modulator is simulated, thus proving the feasibility of the proposed algorithm
