Abstract :
This paper describes elaborate characteristics of a 60 GHz direct-conversion quadrature modulator/demodulator which is fabricated in 65 nm CMOS technology. The measured I/Q imbalance of the modulator/demodulator is less than 0.7 dB in gain and 4.5 degrees in phase over a 10 MHz to 900 MHz baseband frequency range. Flatness of the frequency characteristics of the modulator/demodulator is less than -3 dB over a 2.16 GHz bandwidth. Phase noise of local oscillator is -95 dBc/Hz at 1MHz-offset.
