Abstract :
In this paper we present a compact circular patch antenna using multiple complimentary split ring resonator(multiple CSRR) in the ground plane. The proposed antenna operates at 2.48 GHz. The resonant frequency depends on the parameters of the CSRR. It is fabricated on a substrate of ??r 4.4 and h 1.6 mm.The studies shows that size reduction of 83% is possible compared to standard circular patch antenna working at the same frequency.
