Abstract :
The paper presents an optimized transition from a broadband InP photo diode chip with integrated antenna structure to WR-10 waveguide for efficient optical millimeter wave generation. The Method of Moments (MoM) simulation based design achieves broadband coupling with 6 dB insertion loss from diode to waveguide at 90GHz with 8 GHz bandwidth enabling 10 GBit/s Quadrature Phase-Shift Keying (QPSK).
