Abstract :
This work mainly deal with reducing friction and wear caused by adhesion and plowing on a non-lubricated connector contact surfaces. To eliminate friction an electrical connector interface is developed in order to obtain low contact resistance. Other traditional methods are by lubrication of the interface and to increase the surface hardness of one surface. These materials eliminate wear particles from the interface before they agglomerate and hence result in significant reduction of friction and wear. Multiple points of contact interface to make good electrical contact even in highly contaminated environments with very low normal forces. The friction is low because of the near absence of plowing that contributes to friction.
