Abstract
Computer-aided acquisition and logistics support (CALS) is a Department of Defense and industry initiative, consisting of strategies, technologies, concepts and standards to reduce time-to-market, reduce costs and improve the quality of multiple-contractor projects (initially weapons systems). The evolution of CALS is summarized from paper flow to integrated and digital technical information, shared by government and contractors. Current and future CALS standards are presented
