Abstract :
In this paper, we will present a more complete model of the device to explain in more detail its unique principle of operation and show how the different parameters affect its properties and performance. We hope to demonstrate that the grating fibre coupler (GFC) can be an extremely useful component for dense WDM and bandpass filtering applications, both in fibre and integrated optics
