Abstract :
A study is presented for the effects of multipath dispersion on optical diffuse wireless systems. Equalisation results are reported for systems utilising NRZ data and attention is given to channel equalisation for networks based on CDMA and orthogonal codes. A complete realisation technique is described for obtaining a filter matched to the equalised pulse shape. Such a filter is the optimum predetection filter for certain time modulation formats such as PPM. The realisation procedure is shown to be effective and useful when all is available is a time domain specification on the received pulse shape
