Abstract :
A computer-controlled technique for quantifying seated body contours is described. To measure body contours, the system uses an electronic sensor interfaced to an IBM PC/AT. Contour data can be displayed and modified through use of a graphics software package written in Pascal. Data obtained with this technique are used to fabricate customized seating supports for the wheelchair user
