Abstract :
In cognitive radio (CR) systems, cooperative sensing is advantageous when compared to single user detection. Cooperative sensing means that multiple CRs detect the spectrum holes collaboratively. The presence of malicious users (MU) can severely degrade the performance of cooperative CR system. In this paper, we are adopting a signal detection method called the forward consecutive mean excision (FCME) algorithm for `always one/zero´ MU detection in cooperative sensing. Simulation results show that the FCME method is able to work even though 80% of the secondary users are `always one´ MUs.
