Abstract :
In order to observe the results of practical automatic control systems using an artificial neural network as the controller we developed a real time closed loop emulation system with two independent parts. One is the PC based simulating model of the controlled plant and the other is the real neural network hardware serving as the controller. They are connected together by interface circuits. The emulation system works under real control time sequences. It fits the requirements of checking the results of a neural network controller in a practical system. Experiments show that the real time emulation system is a useful tool in designing control systems with the artificial neural networks
