Research on Chinese High-tech industrial security based on industrial dependence on foreign countries

High-tech industry is the oriented industry of national economy and has developed into the strategic commanding point in the competition of comprehensive strength among many countries in the world. With the promotion of globalization and reform and opening in China, there is a growing tendency that Chinese high-tech industry become more and more dependent on foreign countries, incurring the security problem of High-tech industry. This paper utilizes the relative statistical data during 1998-2008, and adopts three indicators which are export dependence on foreign countries, technology dependence on foreign countries and capital dependence on foreign direct investment(FDI), researching into the crucial problem of Chinese high-tech industry´s security from the aspect of industrial dependence on foreign countries. On this basis, this paper can be able to put forward some policy recommendations to promote the security of Chinese high-tech industry.
