Abstract
We present a low power analog adaptive equalization technique suitable for combating inter-symbol-interference at very high data rates. The proposed technique, which we term the continuous time equalizer (CTE), addresses several limitations associated with equalizers based on tapped delay lines. The theory and circuit implementations are given. Simulations comparing the CTE with ideal tapped delay line filters are shown.
