Service-oriented business integration and management in telecom

With the new sophisticated relationships established among the telecom service providers, equipment vendors, sales/marketing departments and clients, the telecom service providers and the telecom companies are faced with the problem of how to meet their clients´ demands with fewer expenses and in shorter time periods. The service-oriented integration (SOI) method may be viewed as an essential and useful way to solve this problem. This paper, following the principles and technologies provided by NGOSS (2004), has presented a new service-oriented integration platform, that allows various heterogeneous telecom software systems to work together according to some sequence stipulated by business processes; in addition, this paper has also discussed a service-oriented analysis and design (SOAD) (Olaf Zimmerm et al.) solution that made a clear relationship between the telecom services and components; and described a simple service process management framework that might be used for managing service processes for telecom enterprises.
