Abstract
Currently land mobile radio researchers and system designers use an N-path Rayleigh Uncorrelated Scattering channel model for studies which investigate land mobile system performance using various modulation, coding, and diversity schemes. This paper presents a comparison of parameters and assumptions used in this model with statistics derived from the analysis of measured wideband propagation data. Conclusions are drawn with regard to the adequacy of the model
