Abstract :
In this paper, two novel angle estimation algorithms using successive one-dimensional (1-D) search MUSIC for the DOD and DOA estimation in bistatic polarimetric MIMO radar. The properties of the Kronecker product are first utilized to transform the MUSIC cost function into a quadratic equation. The DODs with 1-D search can be obtained by solving the quadratic equation. For each estimated DOD, transforming the MUSIC cost function into another similarly quadratic equation. Then the corresponding DOA can be obtained by similarly 1-D search method. Thus, the target´s DODs and DOAs can be automatically paired. Two different methods are used to solve the quadratic equations lead to two novel angle estimation algorithms. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the two proposed algorithms.
