Abstract
We address the use of wideband CDMA technology for the next generation mobile telecommunications service. The radio characteristics and an overview of a personal communication system operating in the 1.885-2.025 GHz band) under development at Korea Mobile Telecom (KMT) are introduced. We particularly investigate the effect of synchronous transmission in the reverse link. In addition, the effects of power control and channel coding in the pedestrian environment for a low tier service are considered
