Abstract :
In this paper, a novel direction of arrival (DOA) estimation method is proposed based on sparse representation. The method firstly constructs the sparse localization model using the direct array output data upon the sparsity of source localization in far-field region. Then the sparse construction algorithm based on iterative hard thresholding (IHT) is utilized to solve the sparse problem and the initial DOA estimations are obtained. Finally, the estimated result is modified according to the energy characteristic of the sources. The proposed method can localize the uncorrelated sources and coherent sources. Moreover, the high resolution is provided. Simulations results verify the efficiency of proposed algorithm.
