Abstract :
A formulation is developed for the open problem of time domain scattering in two dimensions. The formulation couples finite elements to an integral equation method that uses the exact radiation condition of a 2D time-dependant Green´s function. The formulation is developed for both TM and TE modes and is applicable to scatterers that may be inhomogeneous and of arbitrary shape.
