Abstract :
The advent of solid-state technologies have led to significant advancement in the ways motors are controlled and protected. Products such as solid-state motor controllers and variable frequency drives have improved flexibility and productivity on the plant floor. As technology has moved forward, so have the capabilities of solid-state devices. This paper describes how the latest advancements have pushed the envelope of the solid-state controllers´ capability to protect the motor and the load it controls
