Abstract :
A current challenge for information technology in the field of assuring the confidentiality of keys and parties´ authorisation is to build public key infrastructures and advanced encryption algorithms based on crypto biometric keys. Such keys, apart from their cryptographic characteristics, are also personalised and contain information characterising their owner. This paper presents a new technique for generating crypto biometric keys based on unique biomedical images and hashing abbreviating functions.
