Abstract :
VRLA (Valve-Regulated Lead Acid Battery) battery is an important part of the DC power supply system. The system provides a safe, stable and reliable safeguard of the DC equipment. The on-line monitoring system of VRLA battery is based on the C8051F120. This system can monitor battery internal resistance, voltage, current, temperature, SOC and SOH. The system is consisted of a master station (which is a computer via RS485 bus) and a slave station (which is the controlled unit MCU C8051F120). The system has a feature of finding fault battery cell and showing the state of the system. The study of the real-time monitoring for the battery is to extend battery life, reduce battery replacement frequency and save the cost. The online monitor system for VRLA battery plays an important role in environmental protection for sustainable development.
