Abstract :
This paper presents the H robust control law elaborated on the basis of a state-space averaged model of the Vienna rectifier, expressed in the synchronous rotating frame. A control scheme is designed by using the steady-state and dynamic models of the Vienna rectifier that are derived by means of a local linearization around the nominal operating point. The proposed robust control law is then verified numerically through a digital implementation of the converter in the Matlab/Simulink framework, using the switching function approach. Simulation experiments are finally carried out in order to test and verify the tracking and regulation performance of the H control law, as well as its robustness towards load or mains source disturbance. For the same operating conditions, the performance of the robust control law is analyzed in terms of line currents Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) and DC voltage regulation.
