Abstract :
As the reception antenna of the terrestrial digital television, two types of array antennas are proposed and analyzed. The unbalanced fed ultra low profile inverted L antenna on a rectangular conducting plane is used as the driven element of proposed antenna. By using the mutual coupling between the driven element and parasitic elements, the return loss bandwidth is extended. In the case of antenna size of 148 mm by 325 mm by 54 mm (antenna with two parasitic elements), the directivity of 6.0 dBi to 7.3 dBi are obtained. In the antenna with four parasitic elements with its size of 148 mm by 325 mm by 400 mm, the directivity of 7.54 dBi to 8.12 dBi are obtained at the frequencies from 470 MHz to 710 MHz.
