Abstract :
Because of ageing of the power factor compensation device of a casting factory, the power factor is too low at last, it can´t meet the relevant requirements, and this will bring a series of problems. A method of compensation device to improve the power factor is proposed. A kind of SVG is installed on suitable position of the enterprise load line, and the power factor of company is increased. It satisfies the requirements about the power factor above 0.9 stipulated by electric power department. It brings good economic benefits and social benefits.
