Abstract :
We propose a method for interpolating state-space descriptions of linear time-invariant controllers in order to generate a continuously-varying family of controllers that stabilizes a family of linear plants. The interpolation method is based on the state-space Youla parametrization of the controllers and is well-suited for the synthesis of gain scheduled controllers. Our approach is illustrated with the design of a gain scheduled missile autopilot
