Abstract
In this paper a comparative study between two proposed uses of the line inter-phase transformer (LIT), as a passive solution to improve the input current shape in very high power three phase systems, is presented . By using the LIT, in 12 pulse operations, an input current shaping without the 5th and 7th harmonics is obtained. Experimental results, theoretical analysis and numerical simulation are presented to accomplish the comparison
