Abstract :
This paper deals with a methodology to build a non-linear behavioural model. Today, in high tech telecom or radar industries we try to reduce the cost of products by reducing development phases. One possible solution is to improve the preliminary simulation phase. So at the question How build an efficient low cost model for industrials?, we can propose a solution developed by an industrial and suitable for industrials. The modelling requirement follows these next points: we first characterise the non-linear component with a temporal approach. Then, we build a model by learning a neural network based on current/voltage relationships. Finally, after implementation of the black box model in a commercially available simulation tool, we can perform large signal non-linear analysis (as harmonic balance) and even DC or small signal ones. This powerful procedure can be applied to several different kinds of non-linear devices (single device as transistor or diode up to more complicated packaged functions) since it is a technology-independent methodology.
