Abstract :
This paper describes the design of dual band, single layer tuneable artificial magnetic conductor (AMC). The design is made up of wideband bowtie elements with varactor diodes at the centre of the bowties. The AMC can tune over two distinct frequency ranges (850-1300 MHz and 1700-2500MHz) independently. The thickness of this EBG is λ/144 at the lowest operating frequency.
