Abstract :
A still image is usually insufficient to depict a high contrast scene. Exposure fusion can enhance the high dynamic range details of an image. A robust algorithm for multi-exposure images fusion is proposed in this paper. In our algorithm, an overall luminance layer and local details are combined to generate an image that can describe a High Dynamic Range scene more efficiently. A base layer is introduced to solve the luminance reversion problem in the output image. The details are reproduced according to an exposure selection procedure. Experimental results show that the proposed method is more robust than compared algorithms.
