Abstract
In the last two decades, the rapid economic development and constant rise of urbanization level and relevant policies resulted in a dramatic expansion of built-up lands in China and in different expanding stages. The present study monitored built-up land information by using remote sensing and GIS technology, and analyzed its evolution process. This study will be beneficial in understanding the characteristics of built-up land growth and sustainable development of China.
