  • Abstract
    In this paper we propose an engineering methodology and approach of constructing the knowledge-driving, cloud-based ERP service system for SMEs within the SOA framework, which is called KC-ERP-SS. The theoretical description of a cloud-based ERP service model, as well as the software infrastructure for such a model, are developed to design and implement an open, utility-oriented, scalable, sustained innovative ERP digital service ecosystem for SMEs. Our approach provides an IT solution aiming at constructing an ERP service system which is low-cost, high-scalability, multi-tenant and high-availability. At the same time, we put forward a concept that ERP is as a service to meet the pay-per-use and on-demand needs from SMEs.
