Abstract :
The performance of low voltage, toroidal transformer designs is evaluated in both hard and soft switching power converters. The hard switching converters suffer from high MOSFET switching losses. This can be eliminated by adopting a soft switching, zero voltage switching quasi-resonant converter. All the transformers possess high power density with good efficiency
