Abstract :
The equations given in this work are the correct formula for dipole antenna electromagnetic fields in the time domain. The results of measurements are in agreement with the fields predicted by these equations. A comparison with analytical solutions shows that it is also in agreement. This assures that these field equations are correctly deduced from Maxwell equations. A numerical approximation with the TLM technique for the transmission line and finite difference time domain for the field calculation were also tested with excellent results.
