Abstract :
Considers the evoked EMG signal that is obtained using surface electrodes when the quadriceps muscles in paraplegic subjects are stimulated via percutaneous intramuscular electrodes. Changes in this signal occur over time, during sustained stimulation. In this paper, possible causes that are related to changes in the biochemical processes of the muscle fibers are investigated
