Abstract :
In this paper, we examine the blind multiuser detection (BMUD) for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems with space-time block codes (STBC). The BMUD for STBC-OFDM system has been extensively studied in future communication systems. The proposed receivers implemented by linearly constrained minimum variance filters are designed to achieve this goal. However, the filter suffers from the heavy computational load and slow convergence speed. The proposed two-stage receiver contains adaptive BMUD then followed by a channel estimator and RAKE receiver. The two-stage receiver which uses the property of STBC to design receiver, reduces the bit-error-rate (BER) tremendously for the compared receivers. Finally, Computer simulations demonstrate that the proposed two-stage receiver has better performance than the traditional receiver with much lower computational load.
