Abstract :
This paper is concerned with the design of optimal CMOS 4-valued digital circuits. After an analysis of the problems in the logic design of quaternary circuits it is shown that evolutionary methods may be effectively used do obtain optimal cost-table based circuit realizations of both full specified and incompletely specified quaternary functions
