Abstract
Data processing at high-speed is a direction of the development of FPGA. This is an age of NIC popularity, the majority problems of data processing could be solved with the network cards, but some particular requirements of the data processing often could not be met with normal network cards. This paper involved in data processing card which requires one ethernet interface to send and receive data, could check status parameters of net ports at anytime. However, these functions could not be achieved with normal network cards. In light of this, based on Xilinx FPGA chip, the paper designs a dedicated card with one ethernet interface to send and receive packets at gigabit speed, that can return parameters of network port status when needed. The paper did a contribution for the development of dedicated network card.
