Abstract :
Based on the Standard International Trade Classification, the paper classifies the Chinese export to the United States into nine categories and deals with the effect of RMB nominal exchange rate and U.S. real income on Chinese export to U.S.A. As a conclusion, all types of these nine products are significantly influenced by the U.S. income, and differences in elasticity to nominal exchange rate exist. Moreover, the responses of all exports to nominal exchange rate are not fully consistent with theoretical projection, the causes for which are examined.
