Abstract :
The work reported here looks at the nature of barriers when encompassed by a matrix at elevated temperatures. Polyester samples containing barriers such as film, glass cloths and micapaper were tested for bond strength, tree lifetime and barrier strain. In cases where the material was strong enough the barrier´s mechanical properties were also measured
