Abstract
The “supply positioning model” in modern supply chain management theories is to direct decision maker to make sure the purchasing emphases and product supply strategy by analyzing the different characteristics, influence and risk of each product. The paper puts forward to apply the “supply positioning model” to equipment material support. On the foundation of Kraljic´s matrix, “level of inventory control” and “ability of material supply” are chose to as two dimensions of model, and the evaluate index system of “the level of inventory control” and “ability of material supply” are build up. By using of principal component analysis, the evaluation index system is quantitated. According to the result, the material in the model is positioned, the classification of material is ascertained, and the corresponding inventory strategy is drawn up.
