Abstract
We consider the model reference control of a linear time-invariant minimum phase plant by a static generalized sampled-data hold function (GSHF) controller. While GSHF controllers typically yield poor intersample behaviour, in the single-input single-output case we show how to design a GSHF controller that ensures that the plant output tracks the reference model output as well as desired, even when a disturbance is present. The controller is easy to implement and we illustrate the controller synthesis with an example
