Abstract :
Parallel power regulation techniques increase the efficiency of power converters, achieving regulation by handling only a percentage of the power transmitted from the input to the output, in contrast to classical regulation schemes where all the power flow is controlled in order to regulate the output. Our work describes a procedure to parallel regulate high efficiency resonant converters that operate at constant frequency and constant duty cycle and that otherwise should be regulated using pre-regulation or post-regulation principles. As a result, efficiency increments of up to 6% are obtained when providing output regulation against 20% input variation
