Abstract
Due to the rapid development of information technology, digital learning has become a trend in future education. Taiwan has continuously reformed and improved its education, in hopes that students can learn effectively with positive learning attitudes. The primary purpose of this study is to explore the effect of using Windows Live social network as an assisting platform for computer class. This study also explores whether there are differences in computer learning outcomes by genders, online hours, and responses to posts caused by different learning methods. This study adopted the quasi-experiment research method, namely the "experimental group and control group design". The research subjects were four sixth grade classes in an elementary school in Taiwan. The experimental group contained two classes (61 students), and received instruction using Windows Live, while the control group contained two classes (63 students), and received traditional instruction. The experimental instruction resulted in four findings and two suggestions, which can serve as references and applications for future studies.
