Abstract
A purification system, purity and density monitors, and the design of a high-pressure Xe cylindrical ionization chamber have been tested as apart of a development of high-pressure Xe detectors for X-ray and gamma-ray astronomy. Preliminary results from the high-pressure Xe cylindrical ionization chamber confirms advantages of such detectors for hard X-rays and low energy gamma-rays
