Abstract :
This paper describes a demonstration of fuzzy logic for a pneumatic control loop. The particular application examined is a ground-based aircraft pitot-static test set. This system is designed to achieve desired output pressures at given rates to simulate both airspeed (dynamic pressure) and altitude (static pressure). The design, development and performance of the fuzzy controller is examined and compared with a previously implemented proportional integral-differential (PID) controller
